ModelX Theme Requirements

Below are the minimum and recommended requirements for using the ModelX theme. Please read them carefully before installing the theme. Once you’re ready, check out our guide on how to install ModelX.

The minimum requirements are necessary for all of the theme’s features to function, while meeting the recommended requirements will ensure a hassle-free setup process and minimize performance issues and limitations.

Minimum Requirements

  • The Mischievous Noble VPS, or an equivalent
  • The latest version of WordPress
  • An Apache or NGINX server
  • PHP 8.1
  • MySQL 5.7 or MariaDB 10.3
  • SSL certificate (HTTPS)

Recommended

  • The Blessed Elf VPS, or an equivalent
  • A domain name
  • A fresh WordPress installation
  • An Apache server
  • PHP 8.1
  • MySQL 5.7 or greater, or MariaDB 10.3 or greater
  • SSL certificate (HTTPS)

Server and PHP Requirements

The hosting server will also need to meet the following requirements for you to be able to install and use the theme.

  • cURL enabled and the libcurl library installed
  • ionCube for PHP CLI, version 12.0.3 or greater
  • PHP exec() function enabled
  • The following PHP directives:
    • max_execution_time set to 90 seconds
    • allow_url_fopen enabled
    • short_open_tag enabled

Disclaimers

License

You have complete control of your ModelX license, meaning that you can issue it to any domain and reissue it to a different domain at any point. You may also activate the license on websites without domain names, which only have IP addresses.

We cannot guarantee ModelX’s functionality on local devices (localhost or 127.0.0.1). Thus, we recommend purchasing a license only if you have or intend on having a web server.

WordPress

To avoid any unexpected issues during the theme’s setup, we recommend installing the ModelX theme on a fresh copy of WordPress. You can download the latest version from WordPress.org, or contact your hosting provider to do it for you.

Server Software

An Apache server is recommended for a quick and error-free setup. If you’re using an NGINX, please ensure that the mod_rewrite module is enabled, or contact your hosting provider to enable it for you.

In addition, the ionCube Loader for PHP CLI and the libcurl library will have to be installed on the server. Please get in touch with your hosting provider if you’re not sure how to add the aforementioned software.

PHP

PHP 8.1 is the minimum version required for the theme to work. Using earlier versions will limit your theme’s functionality and may result in errors.
